I got a new iPhone and I think I screwed up. I didn’t remove the AirTag from my old iPhone before I erased it. Now when I try to connect my 2 AirTags to the new phone I get the error message seen in the photo. I’ve reset each by taking the battery out and pushing it in 5 times. I turned off “find my”, Bluetooth, cellular. Nothing works. I’m signed in the my Apple ID already. Anyone have a clue? I appreciate it

Do you have Find My enabled within your Apple ID/iCloud settings? AirTags are locked to an Apple ID, so make sure you are using the same one you used when you initially set these up. Also, since you physically reset the AirTags, you may need to remove them from your Apple ID first before you can set them up again (especially if you are wanting to use a different Apple ID). If you truly are signed in and Find My is enabled, then maybe try signing out and sign back in.

For future reference, you don't need to do anything with the AirTags when getting a new device. They are actually paired to your Apple ID and not the device itself. So long as you're logged in properly, they will just show up in Find My...and even should show up on your other devices too if you have any (iPad or Mac).
