To all of you who are experiencing the WiFi/LTE connectivity problem, indeed you have my sympathy. I know I would be frustrated & PO’d beyond reason.

But after a couple of weeks of nearly zero web activity, no news from Apple, near-silence from the rumor sites, and an ongoing & worsening health issue, necessitated that I at least try a new iPhone (10s Max). So I did. Had I not been desperate, I never would have (even) ventured forth.

So I went to the Apple store. Thinking that explaining my serious health issue would somehow affect the matter, I spoke with the store manager. She assured me this connectivity problem was infrequent, stating that were this not the case, she would surely know (but did not proffer data to justify/support her conclusion).

After much agonizing, I went ahead and got the 10s Max, thinking that should it be problematic. I would return it within the grace period and get a different device, probably another iPhone X.

In sum, I did get the (overpriced)10s Max and, AFAIK, it is still problem free. Even so, I suspect it will be a long time before I quit looking for connectivity issues each time I pick it up.

In my case, everything worked as it should, but I still don’t recommend doing such, without making several backups (including that which is/will be on your new phone), keeping a copy of all sales documentation, and accepting the fact that several trips to the Apple store may be in your future. And oh yeah, don’t forget the part that grief and aggravation may be a part, a big part, of the equation.

I keep taking my iPhone X to the apple store and they replace it with a new device each time, yet by the time im driving down the road it drops my LTE again everytime! So far the only way I can keep a signal 24/7 is to turn off LTE and use 3G only. It has been driving me nuts for months now!!!

Yep - I had the same issues with my X. Wi-Fi would constantly drop and switch back to LTE. When the X showed LTE in the upper right hand corner, apps would fail to load, web pages in Safari would display "Cannot connect to Server".....I always just thought it was AT&T and my area. Download and upload speeds on both Wi-Fi and LTE were horrible. Sometimes download speeds wouldn't even hit 5 Mbps. That's bad.

Then I would start having Bluetooth and CarPlay issues. After driving for about 15 minutes, the music would start crackling and CarPlay would stop working, thought it was the Lightning cable, replaced it, issues still persisted.

My friend's X had all the same problems. I then switched to the XS Max this past November and I haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned above. LTE Download speeds hit about 80 Mbps, Upload hits about 15 Mbps. Wi-Fi connections never drop. No CarPlay or Bluetooth issues. I've read posts on here about the XS Max and LTE connectivity problems, but the XS Max has been flawless for me.
