Not to point out the obvious, if it was the new iPhone this guy had, of course YOU wouldn't see it as YOU don't have the new iPhone. The 3G and original will not get video recording capabilities.

The same reason why when I go into settings on my original I don't have the option to turn 3G on and off. If you don't have the hardware, you won't have the option.
