Hello.
Anyone bought an iPhone over the last couple of days? Does it come with firmware 1.0.0, 1.0.2, or 1.1.1?

Thanks.

It will depend on the production date. It is likely Apple's suppliers start adding the new firmware at the factory within a few days (tops) before the firmware is released via iTunes.

So if you want a new iPhone with 1.0.2, you'll need to check when it was produced - likely first week of September or earlier would be "safe".

I hope we can keep this thread alive and have people's posts about when they bought their new iPhones and what firmware it came with.

I live in Canada but I plan on going to the US in a few weeks so I am very interested in this topic.

PS, eBay costs well over $100 extra, I'd much rather just do it myself..

Got a new (service) phone yesterday to replace the one the 1.1.1 update bricked and it had 1.0.2 on it. At least the Apple stores are stocking service phones now so you don't have to wait 3 days for your replacement.

Wow, that just gave me a REALLY great idea... does anyone think the value of an iPhone with 1.0.2 or earlier would jump up in value on ebay???? ;)
