I have been waiting for months for the new 16GB iPhone! It is finally here! However, would I be better off waiting for the new iPhones later this year (possible 3G?). I really want to get my iPhone, but would it be wiser to wait for something even better? Thanks for any help!

Exactly. If this phone current as it is meets your needs then go out and buy. If not then wait for something that does.
It was just updated so chances are good you won't see anything until June/July but you will never know.
It seems all these should I upgrade threads could be answered with a universal, "If you need it as it currently is and it fits your needs buy it now, if not wait"

Either get one or don't. The dam thing was just given a update. If you want to wait for the next gen you will be waiting until probably late fall.

Why not just buy the iPhone now and sell it once the upgraded version comes along? You'll probably recoup around 75% of your initial investment, with the added pleasure of using the iPhone for the next several months.
