Man, I really hope Apple does a big update to iPhoto. It really needs to perform more like iView Media Pro or Vista's Photo Gallery:

- It needs to store all keywords and metadata changes on each picture as well as in a database.

- It would also be nice to give the user the option of preserving the original or not.

- Another nice feature would be to allow manual folder organization.

I agree - I have a sneaking suspicion that at least some of these features will be implemented in Leopard, when it is released along with the next iLife and iWork updates :D

Doesn't iPhoto '06 already allow for manual folder organization? If I remember correctly, you can untick the "Copy pictures to iPhoto library folder" (or something like that, don't remember) and it will import the pics into iPhoto but leave them where you put it on the Hard Drive...

Or do you mean something different?
