Do you think the battery in the new 4G ipods could work in the 3Gs?

The battery is actually the same. They use a new power management system in the 4G iPod to squeeze out more battery life. What sucks is that they could probably easily implement every change the 4G has into the 3G with a software update, but they wont, for obvious reasons.
