Hi

My friend recently purchased an iPod but she already had itunes with music on it. If she hooks up the ipod to the computer, will she lose her songs? And if so, how can she hook up the ipod while still keeping all of her music?

If it's a brand new iPod, just plug it in, and iTunes will recognize it, help you name/ register it, and then will sync all of your content over.

As long as it hasnt been syncd with another computer, it should be fine.

Sorry, i guess i phrased that incorrectly. Is it possible to take someone's ipod and connect it to an itunes that already belongs to somebody? I know there is a pop up that asks if you want to replace the songs, but can you simply X out of that a get the songs?
