iPod touch New iPod touch 6th in retail stores

Does anyone here know when you think the new iPod touch 6th gen will be available in retail stores like best buy or Walmart. Also what should I do with my old iPod touch which is a 5th generation should I trade it in or should I keep it and jailbreak it on iOS 8.4 let me know thanks

I literally just came out of the Apple Store on 68th & Broadway here in NYC. They didn't have them in stock and none were out on display. When I asked one employee, they said next week. When I asked another, they said whenever the shipment comes in. So there you go. Will probably be faster to order it online.

I can still order one now and receive it Friday w/ overnight shipping or on Monday with standard shipping. I checked with my nearest Apple Store and they had no clue when they would receive them. If they were ready to ship today (I didn't check early enough to now for sure), then surely they would be in transit to the stores already and arriving on Friday.

Nope, there are more quite launched products, this one has a section on the front page of apple.com, while some (lesser) updates of products didn't even had that

After I placed my order for Monday delivery I realized that I might be able to get one sooner at this very store. I'm glad I didn't wait to purchase it online. I ordered the Product Red, which I'm not sure is available in stores anyway.

I picked one up in NC last night. They were NOT on display, I had to ask the sales rep. He was surprised they had some in stock. And they did not have every color. This store only had black, silver, gold, and Pink. No blue or red. I only checked colors for the 128GB. So YMMV. You should just check your local store.

Ordered online and just returned from picking up my new iPod Touch 6 16gb Space Gray at the Apple Store in Cumberland Mall (Georgia). It is awesome! My previous model is a 32gb iPod Touch 4.
