iPod touch New Ipod Touch G4 Microphone not working in non-Apple apps...

I tried the microphone in the Google mobile app and iCall Free Voip, but both apps said something to the effect of "No Microphone found". However, in the app VocoderLite, the microphone worked fine. Anyone running into the same problem? Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks

The apps probably need to be updated by the developer first before they are supported by the new touch.

So far google apps are the only ones not recognizing the mic. Skype worked fine, Soundhog and italk apps also work ok.
