iPod touch New Ipod Touch Issue

I have the new touch. Everytime I plug it into the computer, it changed the date to febuary 10 2008. Why is this happening and how can I solve it?

Also are there any recommended cases for the new touch?

Make sure your computer has the right date set, and that you are on the same time zone. Beyond that it may be a software problem.

Yeah the time on my computer is accurate. How can I solve this software issue?
