I did a lot of travel recently, and discovered my iPT 4G was having difficulty connecting with stations.
I had to shut down and start it again to make the DHCP to get an IP.

Anyone else have this problem?

(BTW, I read a trick to do this w/o restarting, but forgot it. It's more then the airplane mode or on/off WiFi)

No. Not normal.

You can also turn off and turn on the wifi, but I would get it checked out

I only have that problem after being the iPod Touch 4 out of sleep mode but not when it is actively on all the time.

I should have added it did not happen all the time, just often enough to make me realize something was up.

Sounds similar to my problem, can't connect after wake.

Will take to Apple for look-see
