I just got a new iPod Touch. Comparing it to my 1G iPod Touch and my 3G iPhone, this new one looks like the grey dock behind the icons is strobing. It is like I can see it refreshing or something. Is this common with the new 2G iPods?

Nope, it runs the same OS so it should behave how the iPhone and the other touch behaves. If it bothers you I suggest doing a restore. If that doesn't work, you may have to get Apple to replace it.

Exactly. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing that. I bought it to send to somebody to review an app I wrote. When they get it back to me I'll try and return it.
