I think and hope that Apple will release a new version of both iTunes and Quicktime with the release of iCloud. Here is a list of what I think they will release, what do you think?

iTunes
  • Rewritten in OS' native code
  • Built from ground up with all media, iPods/iPhones, Store, and iCloud in mind.
  • Full 64bit (Possible 32bit support included)
  • Based on new Quicktime X (10.1) (Uses QT7 for 32bit support)
  • Wireless Syncing
  • Obvious performance and resources usage improvements

Quicktime X
  • Included in iOS 5; increases performance & decreases battery usage
  • Released for Windows 64bit; Maybe 32bit with QT 7.
  • Upgraded to include Quicktime 7 Pro features missing in QT 10.0
  • Upgrade for Snow Leopard
  • Added features to support iCloud

I'd like to hear what others think. This will happen at some point, I am just hoping to see it with Lion/iOS5 releases.
