I think and hope that Apple will release a new version of both iTunes and Quicktime with the release of iCloud. Here is a list of what I think they will release, what do you think?
iTunes
Quicktime X
I'd like to hear what others think. This will happen at some point, I am just hoping to see it with Lion/iOS5 releases.
iTunes
- Rewritten in OS' native code
- Built from ground up with all media, iPods/iPhones, Store, and iCloud in mind.
- Full 64bit (Possible 32bit support included)
- Based on new Quicktime X (10.1) (Uses QT7 for 32bit support)
- Wireless Syncing
- Obvious performance and resources usage improvements
Quicktime X
- Included in iOS 5; increases performance & decreases battery usage
- Released for Windows 64bit; Maybe 32bit with QT 7.
- Upgraded to include Quicktime 7 Pro features missing in QT 10.0
- Upgrade for Snow Leopard
- Added features to support iCloud
