Yesterday I restored my iphone and updated to the new itunes. It appears now that apps install in a matter of seconds now on my iphone 3G where they use to take atleast 5mins or so. Backups seem a little quicker too I haven't canceled any backups and I've not tried to put too much content on at once and generally things seem quick, even the iphone appears faster after the restore.
Apple still need to fix the problems but I think a combination of the new itunes version and a restore might improve things a little. Has anyone else tried this yet?
