iPod touch New iTunes/iPod User

Hello all. Just picked up my new touch this morning from Circuit City (week 37, somewhat bad screen) and had a question for someone in the know.

When syncing songs to my touch, I notice that iTunes seems to skip around my list of artists, syncing whatever it feels like, bouncing from one artist to another. Why does it do this? Is it normal?

I'd appreciate any insight to this.

'AutoFill' works somewhat randomly, I think.

Just go to the iPod settings and set it to 'Manually Manage Music and Videos' and you should be good to go.
