Yeah, there are a bunch of threads on this already. Bug reports are being sent to Apple, so this should be fixed in 9.0.1

I don't understand what the problem is here. Are you talking about albums that take up more than one cd? Make sure that you have the Disc numbers right with the track numbers. So tracks 1-10 are on Disc 1 of 2, and tracks 1-14 are on Disc 2 of 2. Mine is like that and it sorts just fine. Also, have you tried just sorting by track?

Even when they’re tagged correctly, they don’t sort right if you’re sorting by Album by Year or Album by Artist in iTunes 9. If you sort just by Album or by Artist, then it works fine.

Slightly OT, but if you sort by Album by Year (newest to oldest), it sorts all the tracks from last to first. Been like this ever since Album by Year was introduced, but quite annoying!

ok for all that dont understand let me explain better:

1. find a album double or triple (with more that one Disc, like beatles white album)
2. sort by Album by Year (my favorite beacuse sort the albums by year)

ok now see like the screenshot that I post! they sort the 1st song of the 1st disc, follow 1st song of the 2nd disc, and continuing.... that is BAD!

believe me I pass more with itunes that with my wife! hahahaha and always I use sort Album by Year, and with the new itunes that problem appear!

I post the screenshot! again with RED boxes for focus my point.

thanks guys and check this please!

Definitely a bug. I get it when I try to sort albums by artist or year. It doesn't seem to be an issue when sorting by album though, if you compare the two screenshots. But I definitely prefer sorting by artist or year depending on the playlist.

yeap! kate confirm the bug ;)

Absolutely a bug, and one that's driving me nuts. With a nearly 500GB iTunes library, this issue is affecting probably 30-40% of my music collection.

You could also set it up so each disc of a multi-disc set is counted as a separate album, but that isn't ideal.

Hopefully 9.0.1 will be out soon to fix this.
