I've added a new iTunes Status shortcut that checks the player status and identifies the song, album (or playlist), and artist.
I've also updated the iTunes Remote shortcut with the ability to automatically check the status of iTunes. If you select the new menu item at the top, it will offer much more media info. Also made it a tiny bit prettier by adding emoticons to the menu.
And added the check status ability to the iTunes Controller shortcut.
In fact, if you haven't visited the page in a while, it would probably be worth it to download the latest versions. I've made several updates to the iTunes shortcuts, some big, many small.
