Trying to use a new keyboard on an older Mac running Panther or Jaguar (i'm not sure as it's a friend and I'm going to try to fix this tonight).

The eject button does not work. Is there a way to reprogram the keyboard (some utility out there) so that we can get this to work?

Thanks

Can you tell us what keyboard and what Mac? That would help.
But I'll say this, I used a ViewSonic keyboard with my B/W G3 and the eject button was F12, just hold it down and voila, eject button. Also the Keyboard/Mouse preference has a tab for setting up 'Hot Keys'.
But yeah, what hardware specifically are you using?

Agh...have you ever tried to help a person out who doesn't even have the skills to explain things properly? Well, I'm in this boat. Plus, it also puts me in the same boat.

I've been given bad/wrong information here.

I told them to upgrade to Tiger and we'll try again after that.
