Hello this is my new concept for a larger iphone. :apple:
Please let me know what you think about the concept. :)

Concept entertains features such as:
4.79 inch 1080p igzo screen @460 pixels per inch
new non-physical home button design with fingerprint reader underneath
1 mm thin bezels, and other features to reduce physical size of device

You mockup somehow waste space between the icons. One more icon row ? I also start to like an additional column.

The home button solution I ike.

The way I designed the larger iphone intended to keep the current 6x4 icon ratio on the home screen. I am aware that some would like more icons on the screen but personally I thought commonality with the iPad and iPad mini would be a higher priority than a cluttered home screen. Just my opinion on the matter, btw.

Lol the iPhone needs to change, its a well known fact. Its current design is great and apple should by all means keep selling the iphone at the 4 inch form factor but a different larger screened iphone would truly challenge popular phones such as SIII, Droid Dna, etc.

Not to mention a larger design would allow for things such as stereo speakers, larger battery, and a quad core processor which would be difficult to fit into the current iphone due to possible overheating issues. Not impossible just slightly difficult, not that the current iphone really needs it at the moment anyway. Just keep in mind how apple has had to underclock iphone processors such as A5 in the past exactly for this reason as well as to save battery.

$0 plastic iPhone (4 inch screen)
$99 iPhone (4 inch screen)
$199 large iPhone (4.8 inch screen)

I have an iPhone and an iPad mini, after playing with a Galaxy Note II, I would like an iPhone that could replace both, midway between, similar in size to the Note... I can't guarantee I'd buy it, but I'd sure like to try it!

This line-up would be nice! (Except, I suspect the iPad will look more like a full size mini.)

You got your wish! Here are all devices lined up near each other. Note, my non-physical button concept has been applied to the iPad mini and regular iPad also. In my opinion it makes Apple devices look sleeker and more modern then they do with a physical home button.

Looks nice. good job. Although hope Apple comes out with something more than just making a phone bigger...
