I sold my 3G 20GB iPod to a friend, and three months later the touch-sensitive buttons on the front stopped working. The Geniuses in the Apple Store couldn't fix it, and it's out of warranty. He's going to buy a new U2 iPod, so he gave me the old one back to see if I could salvage it. What are the chances that it can still be operated through a remote? I guess I could get the old remote back and try it, as it would be nice to have a second iPod hooked up to my stereo with a wireless remote. If not, then I still have an ultra-portable 20GB hard drive.
