Thinking of shortly getting an M1 to replace my cMP and was wondering about how to hook it up to my Dell U2515H monitor which supports HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2 - I presume DP 1.2 is the way to go as supports 4k 60fps and with something like this ?

I was in a similar spot with my Dell display. Since it doesn't have HDMI 2.0 I think DP is the only way to go. I actually have that cable as well it should work fine with the Mac mini.

I'd use HDMI so I didn't tie up one of the USB-C ports driving the display. This isn't a 4k display so HDMI will be fine. HDMI 1.4 supports the full 1440p resolution the Dell U2515H can provide.
