One of the issues I faced with my M1 mini was the USB-C port going to sleep and the external drive being disconnected. This is not an issue with the USB-A drive I use for my Jellyfin media server but concerned with only USB-C ports available that I will run into this disconnecting drive issue again if I upgrade.
Does anyone know if this was resolved with M2 or likely to be fixed with M4?

I have never had this issue once on the M2 Pro mini. On the older Mac Mini's I did have that issues a few times but not on the M2 Pro version. Only issue I have ever had on M2 Pro version is the monitor not fully going to sleep and the backlight staying on (LG Ultrafine - not Apple version).

Interesting, hopefully this is a non issue for the M4 otherwise it will be going back.
