Greetings,

I'm upgrading from an M1 iPad to the new M5. The new M5 one has the new C1X modem with no support for mmWave 5G connectivity. I'm good with that. I subscribe to both at&t and T-Mobile to meet my connectivity needs. T-Mobile's mmWave network is large and fast, most of my data needs have been met by it, but the iPad won't connect to that portion of their network.

So, to the collective mind....any thoughts on which is the better choice? at&t's non-mmWave 5G network or T-mobile's non-mmWave 5G network?

Thanks!

If you subscribe to both, I wonder if there is / will be a switch on the new iPad like the iPhone has?

Specifically, I'm referring to this setting on the iPhone: Settings > Cellular > Allow Cellular Data Switching

which supposedly selects the stronger of the two networks.

That being said, my gut sense (very scientific! ;) ) is that T-Mo has better, faster data in more places than AT&T. YMMV!
