New mac --> custom install?

Ok not exactly about buying but related to getting a new mac.

I just got a new mac, very excited, before I move allmy data onto it is it worth doing a custom install of OS to strip out all the stuff I know I won't use, eg. Certain languages and drivers ?

And do I risk losing any other stuff that apple would have installed by won't be on my install disks?

Those languages and printer drivers take so little space, so I wouldn't do that.

I think they take up almost 4 gig. Sure thats not a huge amount these days but its quite a bit.

Indeed. Or, wait for Snow Leopard, which will allegedly give you back about 6GB of hard drive space.
