New Mac Displays?

I am maybe considering buying a 30" or 24" display for my macbook pro. What does everyone think about apple releasing any new displays? Should I buy now or hold off for new, larger monitors to be released?

Also does anyone think apple will release a newer, cheaper mac pro any time soon?

The truth is: no one knows.

Predicting display updates is absolutely impossible, as the displays have been due for an upgrade for three, four years?

There isn't any evidence to suggest any reason for any new Apple displays anytime soon. Might I recommend Dell?

They're both asking about the same decision, between the same two monitors. This question could have easily been added to that same post, as they're closely related.
