It's rubbish. These are a waste of time. I cannot believe it's headline news on .Mac. Arg. Bring back iTools! It was free! And good!

I agree, .mac just doesn't deliver. I don't seem to use idisk anymore and I'm struggling to justify paying a premium for a mac.com email address that delivers so much junk e mail.

Anyone know how to install these icons? The instructions on the download page look pretty useless to me

iDisk is painfully slow. I regularly try and back up text files and it takes minutes to write these tiny files...very annoying.

to install them you just drag the folders to users-pictures-ichat icons. Then just drag the picture you want into the icon on iChat.

Doesn't seem overly user friendly.
I downloaded them - and had a look - and was quite amused at the level of hype they are creating over these...
One thing iChat / Mac don't seem to do is expand and enhance emoticons at all.

I created an iChat folder under pictures... but then to have to drag them from finder to use them in iChat?!??! That seems very unApple. Should be able to select them in iChat itself I would have thought?!?!

It's not the best way Apple has implemented something but that is how they choose to do it. I agree these icons are pretty much "hypeless" though but at least it's finally something new for .mac.

Fair enough it is slow but it is all done in the background. Also, I have noticed that it only uses available bandwidth.
