Hi all,

My Mac Mini is due to arrive tomorrow. I plan on copying everything in ~/Username over to the new Mac.

My question: Will my iPhone & iPad, which currently sync to my iTunes install, sync with the new computer, or will it do that weird thing where it tries to delete everything, and then I'll have to establish a completely new setup?

Any computer you want your iDevice to sync to has to have iTunes installed and authorized with your same iTunes account. Keep in mind there is a limit on how many computers you can authorize at one time. It's always best to remember to de-authorize a computer before wiping it.

Now, here I'm not sure. If you set it up first, it might ask to transfer your iDevice installed apps to your new mini. Alternately, you can copy the library over yourself. Recently, I just attached to a shared drive where I copied the library, selected all the .ipa files and said 'open'. iTunes then imported them into my new set up.
