Hi, I have decided to make a little website in my spare time to help answer questions from people who just purchased a mac.

It is:

http://macinfo.50megs.com/

I don't know if I will have enough bandwidth to allow all of you to see it but we will find out soon enough.

Anyway the idea behind it is that it is a link you can give to a new mac owner who has question about their new mac. Particularly dealing with PC compatability.

I am open to criticism but keep in mind this is one of my first websites and that I don't have lots of web design expirience.

It was made using GoLive and PhotoShop and will be updated soon hopefully.

(And Yes I know some of the spacing is screwed up)

Nice job! I like the graphics - they really add to the article. I like also how it's set up - very intuitive.

I'll tell anyone considering to switch to go there.

Good work,

I'll make one suggestion, some of the areas of text are a little wide. It's generally better to keep sections a little more narrow to keep the eye from getting lost while scanning across the page. Something to consider.

good site, keep up the good work, my only criticism is that the graphics are kinda big, but if it was a newbie looking for info that migt be a good thing

Definitely a good switcher site!!! Great job! If you ever need help writing some articles let me know, I'd be glad to help.

A simple but helpful thing you should add is the ability to click the logo and return to the homepage. Otherwise, looks good. :)

I'm currently writing a Mac vs. PC article for my own site. If you would like to collaborate (or anything else), e-mail me (rendezvouscp at gmail.com). I'm hoping to be done with it near the end of the summer.

You might want to include a compatibility section - people still assume that Macs can't talk to "PC"s.

You mean something like this:

.mpg - YES
.avi - YES
.mp3 - YES
.doc - YES

or maybe more like a listing of programs that will run on a mac?

nice site. i'm fairly new to macs and i'm sure your site will be a big help in time.

my college has all dorms networked over dc++ (direct connect). everything is swell on my pc, but the dc++ version from neo-modus totally sucks. can anybody recommend me an other program that lets me access the direct connect network. thing is, i'm not accessing the web at all. it all stays in the intranet. i just need to be able to enter my hub address. only people with dorm ip's can connect.
