New Mac owner, best apps/tips?

So just last week I bought my first Mac ever, the MBP. I'm having a little trouble coming from 20+ years of Windows but I'm slowly learning the little tips and tricks.

Can anyone point me to some good tip websites for new users or a list of keyboard shortcuts I need to know?

Also, I bought a $50 iTunes card today, what apps should I download that are useful? I already have games via steam (PVZ/Bejeweled) so don't list any games please
