This is driving me nuts. I have a brand new MacBook Pro. Set it up fresh, iCloud logged in during setup.

In Photos.app, my library is there perfectly fine.

However, all my Shared Albums – either ones I own or ones I was invited to – all show "No Items". These Shared Albums work fine on all my associated iOS devices and my other Mac. But this new Mac seems to refuse to show any of the photos in the albums.

I've tried flipping the Shared Albums setting off and on in Photos.app settings. There is an obscene Syndication.photoslibrary taking up 85GB (?!) which internet research indicates "has something to do with Shared Albums and stuff."

I'm not sure what is going on here. I set up the machine last Thursday; this is the first I clicked into my Shared Albums and saw the problem. So it's not a time-related (downloading, building local database, etc) issue.

Anyone run into this? :(
