Instead of simply cloning my existing powerbook hard drive I have decided that I will start completely fresh on the new system.

What applications would you suggest to keep my Mac running smoothly?

Is there anything like MacCleanse or Onyx that will automatically clean the computer once a day or week?

Are there any other fun apps that you suggest I get? (iStatPro etc...)

Thanks

Clean in what way? OSX provides a mechanism for dealing with the logs, like any unix does, but then we're not even talking about a lot of space. OSX is really a great OS that dosen't need constant care and upkeep. Heck, I've never once used any of those apps and I've not run into any performance issues, or problems.
