Simply overwhelmed with Joy, but girlfriend refused to let me do more than boot it until tonight.

BTW I was shopping for a Macbook Pro, but decided I wanted limitless power. (Well, sorta).

Anyways, any suggestions for software?

Hardware:
MOTU Ultralite
Novation SL
Mac Pro 2.8 8cx/2/320
Vestax PCI100 USB Mixer

Looking for stuff to create sample material for minimal techno and progressive.
Also interested in AUs or VSTs that work with Live 6/7.

TGIF, today is going to feel like 80 hours.

You can go any direction with that set-up. I work with Protools HD/LE and even Logic. Weird Im actually just getting into Garageband. Ive used Reason for a number of years so Im hoping this should be fun :)
I play guitar in a cover band and my drummer uses Garageband for sequencing. Looks like fun to use.

Ableton Live, Reactor, and Reason. Thats all you really need for that minimalistic techo garbage :)

check out albino for the VST. There are tons more but really this is all you need along with those other 3 programs.
