I just bought a very nice USED, Mac Book Pro made in 2007. One question is how to reset the password so I can download updated software. I followed the insructions up to where it said to click "installer utilities". I tried typing in a password, but it said it could not take it. Is my only other option is to reinstall the OS? When I go to that page it gives me few choices. It says the OS is the newest version, and I can only erase, then reinstall or archive the OS then install again. Is there not another way of resetting the password so I have adm control? Thanks in advance! Really like this pc...I think I ill retire my Acer and get a NEW Mac!
