Anyone pulling the stock 1g modules from their new Mac Pro? If so, why? Trying to balance your RAM? Filling all 8 slots with bigger modules? What are you doing with the stock RAM? Selling it? If so, how much are you expecting to get for it?

I ordered 4 X 2GB for Riser A + B, slots 1 +2. The stock Apple RAM will go in Riser A, slots 3 + 4, and I ordered an additional 2 X 1GB to put in riser B, slots 3 + 4. That way I'll have 2 sets of matched pairs, all slots full, and 12GB of RAM.

My 2 stock Ram modules are currently on eBay ending in one hour

NOT A BAD IDEA! I am about to order my 2x4gb and didn't think to put 1 giggers in B3, B4. Hmm... you have me thinking on this one.

That guy from the UK who put his 2 X 1GB on eBay got a ridiculous price; $305US!
Good for him, but if you want an additional 2 X 1GB, get it at OWC, only $130US. I can't believe how naive and uninformed some eBay buyers are.
