Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a refurbished Mac Quad, and everything was running fine until today.

I installed 4 GB of RAM, as well as an AJA Kona LHe audio/video capture card, and now, when my Mac sleeps, the fan runs on high and there is a clearly audible fan noise that seems too loud, and a noise level that I never hear when I am working on my Mac.

I also recently installed all of the Mac OS updates.

Does anyone know what this might be and how I might fix the issue?

Thanks,

Khashyar

Have you tried pulling out the AJA card? Sometimes third party issues arise causing weird things to happen.

Thanks Eric and 4God...

I can try that to isolate the issue.

You would think that companies selling high quality (and expensive) hardware would test for conflicts more throughly.... :) instead of customers having to spend their time solving hardware issues.

Thanks again,
