I was thinking that every time I have purchased a new Mac I tend to go through a sort of ritual when I get it through my front door.
First I place the new Mac in the living room and rush off upstairs to my bedroom. I look around for a suitable spot to start unpacking. This usually ends up with an entire clean up of my room, and on one extreme occasion a total refit (i know...lol).
Then I go around the house turn off all the phones and make sure I wont be disturbed when I'm doing the precious "unpacking". I also turn off any TV that's on or any music that's playing. Something about the sounds of a new Mac unboxing you dont want to taint with Xfactor background music (if you can call it music that is...)
Once I'm sure everything is set Ill go fetch the Mac (making sure to take my time lifting it up the stairs). Once its in my pristine, Zen Bhuddist style room laying there ready to be unraveled, I can rest easy knowing I did my best to help my new mac "fit" in.
