I had a MBP 2009 (Core 2 Duo), and now I bought a MBP 2011 (Quad Core i7).

I have moved my SSD drive to the new MBP. Eveything works, but I am still thinking: Should I reinstall Mavericks to get advantage of the new processor etc?

I have thought about this a lot over my years as a Mac user, but I never got an actual reason until now.

No need. The OS you'd get by reinstalling is exactly what you have now.

chrfr is correct, you don't need to do this... but to answer your specific question, when you swap drive like that the OS will recognize any differences like video drivers etc on the new machine and it will automatically reconfigure as needed.

The only time you can get in trouble with this is if you have a machine that just came out and the existing OS versions have not been updated with drivers to support the new machine. Not an issue in your case though.
