Hi Guys 'n' Gals - I have been a Microsoft user since 1981 - C/PM before that. Today I got my very first Macbook Pro 13" 2012 version and to say I am struggling is an understatement.

I cannot remember being so frustrated with any other hi tech device having worked in IT for over 40 years! ;)

My problem today started out by trying to play a video file from my NAS - containing 100% MKV / AVI files.

I found VLC would play MKV files & during the search for a solution I managed to download and install an app called "WonderShare Video Converter".

I cannot for the life of me work out how to uninstall it? I have dragged its icon to the TRASH bin with no success - I just cannot believe how something that 6 year old can do (at my school) in Windows is so difficult to do on a Mac?

I am at my wits end & seriously doubting my decision to buy this laptop in the first place! :(

I am sure there is a simple solution - can anyone please help?

Thanks
