New Mac User - Mac Raid Options

I bought two 4TB Seagate external drives and was originally going to hook these up to a Windows 8 Drive pool on my old Dell Desktop (along with a couple more 1TB external drives). But I would rather hook them up to my Mac Mini. Is there any Mac Option comparable to Windows 8 Drive Pool feature? I would rather ditch my big old Dell Desktop and just use the Mini to serve up all my files.

Disk Utility.app (in your /Applications/Utilities folder) has a RAID tab if a disk is selected in the left-hand column.

What OS X version? Exactly which Mac mini model?

I will post my system specs shortly but I was looking for a disk mirroring option that would not involve reinstalling OSX as my machine is already up and running.
