Hi Forum,

I tried to search for an answer first, before posting.
I have had a new mbp for about 5 months. Well today i put a disk with about 400 pictures in my drive to read, and it only reads or shows the actual picture icon of about 100 pics out of 400. It also sounds like its stuggling while even doing that. I have no other applications open. Even when i put a new ripped music cd, it reads some cd's and not others, or if i put it in a second time it will decide to read it? Is this common for a mac?

Off hand it doesn't sound normal. On the pictures, what format are these pictures, e.g., jpg, bmp, gif? Are ones that don't show consistently of a certain format?

On the music, are these audio CDs, as in ones bought from the store that work in any CD player, of a CD of burned mp3s (or other audio format)? Essentially need more info for proper detective work.

Thanks for the help

They are Jpg and the cds are not store bought, they are mp3 s downloaded.

That's definitely weird. I don't really get why it wouldn't read at all
