Hello,

My mackbook makes a small a click noise when I open the lid, about 20 degrees after opening. It doesn't make the click noise when I close the lid.

Is this a defect???

If nothing is wrong with the computer itself, I would leave it alone, and it will probably go away with time.

My Powerbook once developed a nasty "Click" each time I moved the screen. It came from the hinges as they were misaligned and soon the bottom of the screen even came a bit loose. Apple replaced the hinges and screen bezel and then it was lovely. I'd do that if I were you, and if you have time.

If you have a small enough screwdriver, close the MacBook and tighten the screws on the back. It worked like a charm for me.
