Hi,

Is it possible to put 7200 rpm hard drive on new aluminum macbooks?

If yes, will it have huge heat effect on the machine.

I really find it very cool ( in temperature wise ) and want to keep it that way.

Thank you:apple:

Yes, it is easy to do with a small phillips screwdriver and a set of torx drivers.

As for overheating, it depends on the drive. I've got a WD Scorpio Black, and it runs just fine. No noise, heat or vibration. This thing boots up and launches applications noticably quicker.

I purchased a 250gb 7200 rpm hard drive that was taken out of a macbook pro is that going to work fine in my 2.0 new macbook?
