I'm primarily an architect/graphic designer and am in need of a machine refresh. I was wondering if anyone in similar fields has tested the new air to see how it performs. I've tested CS on it and it seems fine, but has anyone tried modeling on rhino/sketchup or anything like that? I'm curious how it would perform.

Sketchup is a relatively weak software package so I don't think that would have any trouble on the new Macbook Air.

Regardless you should look into how the previous gens ran the software, the new MBA are just a bit faster.

I am going to be installing solidworks and UGS NX on my MBA 13" once I get it next week, so we'll see how performance is, but I have no doubts it will be adequate enough for me working on small-medium sized assemblies.
