Just got the i5/512 model from Costco and took it out of the box. Placed it on my desk and immediately noticed it rocks back and forth. The front right bumper doesn't touch the surface of the desk. Very surprised this made it past quality control. Anyone else have a similar issue?

I am guessing it came with 8GB Ram? I only ask because I couldn't find a shelved option with 16.

Yes this is the i5/8GB model with 512GB SSD. Here's a pic with the MacBook on my kitchen countertop. There is enough of a gap to make it rattle every time I place my right wrist on that corner. Unfortunately I waited about three weeks for Costco to ship it but it will be going back, for multiple reasons. In addition to this issue, I am very surprised at how "dim" the screen is even at full brightness. Plus the battery life is pretty disappointing. With only Safari running, I am getting only about 8 hours of life out of it and there is no indexing going on. I am running Wipr to block ads and have turned Location Services off. Lastly it is disappointing to hear the fan softly running in the background as I never heard it at all with my 2015 MBA while running the same apps.

That's nothing to complain about given a published spec of "Up to 11 hours", and given such published specs have always been extremely optimistic.
