New Macbook Air display question

So I currently have the mid 2010 MBP 13' and am planning to upgrade to the new Macbook Air 13'. When I look at my MBP screen the text seems pretty pixelated and the display itself seems sort of out of date. My question is, is the new macbook air's display any better than my 2010 MBPs? I know the new macbook air's display is not Retina or that it hasn't been updated since it's last iteration but is the display any better than 2010 MBP 13's?

Definitely not. I have them both. The MBA is in dire need of a new display that reflects the quality that Apple purports to include.

The rest of the computer is very nice.

Once I know that Apple has finally increased the resolution, even if it's not retina, I'll be replacing my mid-2012 MBA.

The MBA (13) screen is much better than the cMBP (13) screen.

MacBook Air's display is 1440x900 versus 1280x800 so it's got a higher resolution in the same 13" space, making things slightly smaller and (I find) a little crisper. I used to use a MacBook Pro 13" for ages, then switched to an Air (which I initially resisted), now when I look at MBP 13" it seems so... I dunno the best word to describe it, "childish"?

Even the 11" MacBook Air has a higher resolution than the 13" MacBook Pro.

the new MBA has LED Display. highly likely to beat LCD displays from previous gens.

Can't help with the pixelation but screens (backlit) do wear out, so a new screen will automatically look better than a 3 years old.

Now if ur happy with your 2010 otherwise, attempt to replace that backlit for a little$?
