Hi there,

I just bought my new MacBook yesterday and I haven't shut it off since then. However, after it became fully charged at 100%, the battery life has dropped down to 96% and not increased as it says the battery is currently fully charged.

Any help would be great. Should I bring it back to the distributor, or... ?
Thanks in advance.

The batteries won't charge when reading 96%. I don't remember the specifics - someone will help me out there - but it's built that way.

Which puts undue wear on the battery.

Ya it puts so much wear on the battery. :p

Just to let you know once the battery gets to 95% and above it you unplug it and plug it back in, it will not charge.

EDIT: Forgot to mention mac laptops have been like this for a while, at least the last gen macbooks before this also were like this.
