Click to expand... I've never had any problems with my MacBook doing studio work. I used Ableton Live with about 10 channels (some MIDI, some audio) loaded with effects. I had a 2,0ghz Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) with 1GB of RAM. So the newer models should definitely be up to the task.

Killyp macrumors 68040 Jun 14, 2006 3,859 7 Jan 15, 2009 #3 I would steer clear of the latest MacBooks. The lack of Firewire will seriously restrict your choice of interface. Most USB interfaces tend to be mediocre at best.
