Just wondering if the new macbook is fast enough for studio recording with multiple inputs such as keyboard, module, mic, guitar..?

I've never had any problems with my MacBook doing studio work.
I used Ableton Live with about 10 channels (some MIDI, some audio) loaded with effects.

I had a 2,0ghz Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) with 1GB of RAM. So the newer models should definitely be up to the task.

I would steer clear of the latest MacBooks. The lack of Firewire will seriously restrict your choice of interface. Most USB interfaces tend to be mediocre at best.
