New Macbook iphoto/itunes problem.

I just got my new macbook but I cant figure out how to transfer my photos from iphoto and keep the albums and keywords. I have a G4 imac with iphoto 5. Ive tried the firewire transfer and buring a DVD of my 2500photos but it only imports the pictures but not the albums which ive spent hours organising. I have the same problem with iTunes I want to transfer all my music with the playlists and keep my ratings.

Does anyone know how to do this? I really thought I could figure it out but its 3am so I want to go to bed.

I used iBackup to transfer iPhoto stuff between my iMac and MacBook and that worked fine.
