New Macbook Making Odd Chimes

First Mac user here. My 13 MBP 2.26 is making a series of three chimes every minute or so. I had the computer on mute the first couple days of owning it, but turned it up to test the speakers and can now hear the chimes.

It is three chimes, and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Any ideas?

Weather BUG

Try checking your weather bug settings (temp. in upper right hand corner of the screen. You can turn it off or just turn off the severe weather alerts. Mine was driving me nuts!

I don't have weather bug installed. Just the default weather widget on the dashboard.

Ok, I figured it out. It was adium. I added facebook to the list, so I was getting chimes everytime someone logged in or out of facebook. Oh boy, who doesn't want that?

Thanks for the tip that got me thinking better.
